In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine cult.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an special katana together with numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
